Diversity and grants

At PyConES 2024, we are committed to promoting diversity and inclusion at our conference. We firmly believe in the importance of creating an inclusive and respectful environment that encourages the participation of all individuals, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, age, abilities, religion, or sexual orientation. We also care about providing an inclusive environment for those with parental responsibilities.

The application period for diversity entries and scholarships has ended.

To promote diversity in our conference, we have implemented several initiatives, including:

Grants

Grants are aimed at removing financial barriers to attend the event.

They are awarded through an active application process until June 30th: I want to apply for a grant!

Code of Conduct

We have a Code of Conduct to ensure a respectful, safe environment for every attendee. You could check it in the following link: Code of Conduct .

From the Organizing Team: Python Vigo, Python Spain, and PyConES24 volunteers, we support the PSF[¹] manifesto and value diversity in all its forms, firmly believing that the inclusion of different perspectives enriches our community and enhances our field. We will continue to strive to promote diversity and ensure that all individuals feel welcomed and represented at our conference.

[¹] The Python Software Foundation and the global Python community welcome and encourage participation by everyone. Our community is based on mutual respect, tolerance, and encouragement, and we are working to help each other live up to these principles. We want our community to be more diverse: whoever you are, and whatever your background, we welcome you. The PSF
